First MSC-certified tuna fishery

With so many added pressures on fisheries and stocks around the globe consumers, retailers, wholesalers and processors are continuously searching for sustainable fisheries. No more is any stock more prevalent to these pressures than the tuna stocks with a lot of media attention on the blue fin – especially in the Mediterranean and now focus on the coral triangle.

Fishes is happy to represent the American Albacore Fishing Association (AAFA) which was the first and currently the only fishery to be certified with the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) eco-label. This is a pole and line/jig fishery that prides itself on the highest quality product with every fish being handled by hand.
